Shanxi University's School of International Education and Exchange, in the city of Taiyuan, Shanxi province, signed a recent memorandum of understanding on cooperation with Poland's University of Warsaw, after a lengthy period of discussion.

The agreement covered several fields, such as scientific research, faculty-students exchanges, short-term academic programs, and international conferences, and publications and is was one of the Shanxi university’s steps toward increasing foreign exchanges and education programs for international students, and making it more convenient for Chinese students to study abroad.

It was also somewhat of a landmark for Shanxi in cooperation with Middle and East European countries. It follows a seminar on relations and cultural cooperation between China and Middle European countries in the new age.

Students from the two universities in International Politics, European and Modern China studies will now have access to an exchange program by spring semester, the two schools’ first project and a good sign of greater relations, one of the first efforts of which will be Shanxi University students going to Poland and the school welcoming a group of Warsaw University students.
