Delegation visits Pingyao schools

A delegation made up of members of Pingyao Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC Pingyao Committee) toured local schools on May 11.

The delegation visited nine primary, middle and high schools, as well as vocational schools to learn about education infrastructure in rural areas, including management, recruitment and resources.

Later, the delegates held a meeting regarding the development of better education resources.

Wang Jinbao, chairman of CPPCC Pingyao Committee, put forward suggestions to balance the development of education in rural and urban Pingyao.

First, it’s necessary to increase investment in education and give priority to education development. Second, the county should coordinate the education development of rural and urban areas of the county in terms of funding, resource allocation, infrastructure construction, and lab equipment, said Wang.

Also, education reform and innovation helps advance balanced education development in rural and urban Pingyao, he added.
