A delegation from CISRI Energy Saving Technology Co visited Pingyao on Dec 28 to receive an update on the status of the company's projects in the county.

China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group (CISRI), the largest comprehensive R & D and industrial company in the domestic metallurgical industry, has been serving as a R&D base for metals, an innovation base for key technology in the metallurgical industry, and an authoritative agency for metallurgical analysis and testing in China.

The delegation toured the company’s projects –– worth a total of 3.3 billion yuan ($508.32 million) –– which include production and processing of artificial sapphire and silicon carbide crystal, as well as tire recycling.

The delegation then met with Pingyao government officials, and held discussions on further partnerships in projects which include graphene electrothermal membrane.
