The Tianma modern services project, financed by Shimao Group, is located between Tianma Mountain and Henshan Mountain in the southwestern corner of Sheshan holiday resort.

It borders Chenshan national botanical garden under construction in the east, Songjiang new town in the south, Tianmashan golf course in the west and Tianmashan in the north.

It covers 42.82 hectares of land with 550,000 square meters. of building areas. Construction began in early 2008.

The project includes a center that offers entertainment and recreational services.

It has attracted experience centers from all over the world to boost sightseeing, tourism vacation and recreational shopping themes, scales, characteristics and innovations that coincide with development trends.

The project comprises of a five-star pit hotel, a 350-room four-star hotel and a 400-room four-star service apartment hotel.

Main architectures of the five-star pit hotel are separated into an aboveground part, pit, as well as a water level and underwater part. The architecture stands 11.35 meters above ground (parapet wall height), and 61.6 meters underground.

It has two floors buildings above ground and 16 floors underground. Total height reaches 71.9 meters. and the building area covers 53,487 sq m.

Hotel guest rooms, meeting rooms, and restaurants account for 48,417 sq m. and underground areas amount to 5,010 sq m.

The pit hotel holds 400 guest rooms and facilities for catering and residential services. It features geological pits for Bungee jumping, cliff climbing and aquatic yoga sports, as well as recreational programs.

The pit hotel is a marvel at home and abroad and the only one of its kind with concave pits.
