The First Shanghai International Orchid Exhibition will open on March 29 in Shanghai Chenshan Botanic Garden. Over 50,000 orchids from 14 different countries and regions have arrived at the garden to join the show.

Horticulturists from different countries are busy decorating and creating settings. The first setting of the exhibition was finished on the morning of March 25. The main orchid complex at the entrance of the Rare and Valuable Plants Greenhouse was ready in the afternoon of the same day. Other settings are still being decorated and will be ready by the opening of the exhibition.

The orchid exhibition will serve as a window to further promote Shanghai to friends to home and abroad.
