Gao Xiang, born in December 1969, is a female of Han ethnicity from Shanghai. She entered the workforce in July 1990 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in December 1994.
Gao is currently deputy secretary of the CPC Jiading District Committee, head of Jiading district, and secretary of the leading Party member group of Jiading district.
She is now in charge of the work carried out by the district government.
