“Intelligence converging on Jiangyin”—a 2016 overseas high-level talents innovation & startup match making conference was held in Jiangyin, Jiangsu province from November 10 to 13.

Chen Jinhu, Party Secretary of Jiangyin, said that the conference was an important step in promoting an innovation-driven economy in Jiangyin, which welcomes more talents in areas such as technology, management and finance to help its enterprises develop.

Eight innovative startup projects signed cooperation contracts with foreign talents, and three high-tech projects were introduced. After the conference, the skilled overseas workers visited the industrial parks and enterprises they were matched with, and talked about further cooperation.

Seventy-nine overseas projects had earlier been recommended by foreign institutions, and in the end 26 talents from 16 of those projects were selected for the conference.
