Zhang Jianguo, administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, led a survey group to Tianjin to inspect work related to foreign experts from May 11 to 12. Zhang discussed bringing in high-end foreign talents and how to ensure they meet with a minimum of inconvenience with officials in Tianjin.

Zhang inspected the procedures of welcoming foreign experts in Tianjin. He visited the service center where foreigners apply for a residency permit, and tried out the online service system they may use. He learned the details of classified management and online service processes. Zhang also heard a report on permanent residence permits for foreigners in Tianjin.

The Tianjing Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs has created a new service mode for foreigners to allow them to browse pertinent information online, which will reduce over 30 processes and help realize one-stop service.

The government will provide more convenience for foreigners in residency permits, social insurance, apartments, children’s education, medical treatment, and special fund applications, among other areas.

On May 12, Zhang visited Wellington International School in Tianjin, and heard a report on suggestions on better service for foreigners working in China.

Other officials also took part in the event.
