A 21 million yuan ($3.2 million) venture capital fund in Shenyang, Liaoning province, was approved on Aug 23 to encourage and support youth entrepreneurship, Shenyang Daily reported.
The fund, known as the Liaoning Youth Entrepreneurship Angel Investment Fund, is being managed by Shenyang Huafu Youth Entrepreneurship Space.
The space, covering an area of some 3,000 square meters on the fourth floor of Huafu Shopping Mall, is the only national–level entrepreneurship space among the 70 already established in Shenyang, and has been totally established by venture capital.
Aiming to support innovative businesses, the space will provide free workplaces for start-up teams and innovative small companies. It will also provide support services including entrepreneurial guidance and investment funds.
At present, there are 61 start-up programs in the space, of which 11 programs have obtained investment funds.
