3. Construction of labs for chemistry, physics, electronic engineering,and computer science.

About Us

In April 1949, Dalian University of Technology (DUT) became the first modern university founded by the CPC and in 1960 became the key university under the direct leadership of the Ministry of Education. It is also a key university under the joint administration of the Ministry of Education, the Liaoning Provincial Government and the Dalian Municipal Government supported by the "985 Project" and "211 Project". Seizing the opportunities of development, DUT signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Panjin Municipal Government to establish its Panjin Campus (DUTP) with the approval of the Ministry of Education. According to the agreement, the Panjin Municipal Government will construct a 324-acre campus including buildings and infrastructure that will become operational this year.

The DUTP has seven schools including Petrochemical Engineering; Ocean Science and Technology; Biological, Food and Environmental Science and Technology; Life and Medical Sciences,Humanities and Social Sciences; Business; and Faculty of Fundamental Courses. Following guidelines of a high starting point, innovative approaches, international teaching and research and cooperative programs, the new DUTP will maintain the high standards of DUT’s main campus and complement its existing strengths.

In order to maintain its teaching standards, the DUTP is now recruiting talents from both home and abroad, offering better salaries than the main campus standard and comfortable conditions for teaching, research and daily life.

In 2013, as the institution continues its twelfth fi ve-year plan, DUT will seize the opportunity to carry on its "Top Subject Construction Program" and "Top Talent Support Program", striving to become the leading university in Liaoning Province, a top university in China and a research-oriented university renowned in the world.
