Buses in Changchun getting wifi coverage

The city of Changchun, Jilin province has announced that it equipped more than 2,000 of its buses with WiFi by the end of 2014, in a move toward smart public transportation, and allowing more people to surf online on their way to or from work, according to a chinajilin.com report on Aug 6.

The city's No 13, 2, 62, 362, and 450 buses are already covered and are expected to put up signs to let passengers know about the WiFi service.

The trend toward smart transportation in public vehicles in Chinese cities is increasing and Changchun says it will accelerate the pace and cover more buses by the end of this year.
