NE China to prepare for China’s national film festival

The annual 'Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers' film festival will be held in Jilin City of Jilin Province in Sept, with the announcement of its slogan and mascot out of more than 11,000 pieces submitted from all around the country in the host city, on March 10.

The best slogan of the film festival in the combination with the mascot by using the city’s distinctive features of snowflake, film and rose reflect Jilin city’s openness and confidence, according to the organizing committee.

Fan Chunhong, award-winner of the best mascot design says, "My inspiration comes from my affection for the place. I want to put fresh roses, Songhua River, snowflakes, every element into my piece of work."

"Here it comes," the designer adds.

The best logo of the film festival has been awarded to Liu Dongbo whose piece of work features a vibrant rooster with a combination of snowflake, film, and the figure ‘24’, symbolizing that the upcoming film festival goes smoothly.

First inaugurated in 1992, the annual event is the country's leading film festival that awards outstanding Chinese productions and filmmakers. And, it exclusively promotes domestic productions and travels to different cities in China every year.

The 24th film festival will be held between the 16th and 19th of September this year.
