The Zhangjiagang Cross-Straits Agriculture Exposition will be held in Zhangjiagang, a port city in Jiangsu province, from Nov 8-11, local media reported.

The expo has been held for more than 10 years and is playing an increasingly important role in promoting agricultural exchange and cooperation.

It will set up more than 240 exhibition booths to display featured products from Taiwan, Zhangjiagang, and its neighboring counties.

A new variety of eggplant cultivated by the Zhangjiagang-based Shangang vegetable base will also be displayed. The new eggplant can grow up to about two meters in length and is said to be rather tasty.

Several high-quality agricultural products such as hairy crab, organic rice and several local snacks such as plum cakes and uncongealed bean curd will make an appearance as well.
