Zhangjiagang held a poetry recitation contest at Tangqiao Culture Center Theatre on Nov 24. Pupils from more than twenty local primary and middle schools took part in the competition.

The young students won the applause of the audience through their affectionate interpretations and appropriate presentations of classic Chinese poems.

The competition was divided into high school and junior school contests. After fierce competition, the Ivy League Experimental School and Chongzhen Middle School won the first prize in the junior and high school group respectively.
