An agricultural expert from Israel has been recruited by a village in Zhangiagang, Jiangsu province to offer suggestions on local agricultural development.

The expat has been drafted in by Nangang village of Jinfeng town to evaluate the current situation of Jinfeng and Nangang's agricultural industry. He will also provide suggestions on future development, drawing upon his experience of Israel's agricultural growth.

Nangang village has ramped up efforts to develop its modern agriculture industry since 2006. It has built an ecological vegetable base covering an area of 1,200 mu (80 hectares). The Jiangsu Institute of Urban Planning and Design has pledged to introduce more agricultural professional elites to Nangang to enhance the village's agricultural planning.
