Zhangjiagang city in Jiangsu province launched a series of "Learning from Lei Feng" activities on March 1 to mark the "Learn from Lei Feng Day" on March 5, which is named after Chinese soldier Lei Feng,

A total of 119 volunteers were involved in the activities. Some of them distributed leaflets in the pedestrian street to raise awareness for copyrights and teach residents how to distinguish between authorized products and pirated ones.

More than 10 volunteers played games with handicapped children in the children's welfare institute while some other informed local residents about culture and history.

Volunteers are now a driving force for Zhangjiagang's public welfare campaigns. Their generous spirit embodies the city's improvement on city civilization.
