The city of Zhangjiagang in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, ranked on the list of the Yangtze River Top 10 County-Level Commercial Cities, along with Suzhou's Kunshan and Changshu as well as Wuxi's Jiangyin and Yixing, according to an announcement at a forum of the 2014 Yangtze River Delta urban commerce development.

Five other cities on the list came from Zhejiang province, including Cixi, Wenling, Yuyao, Zhuji and Haining.

Zhangjiagang made the list six years in a row. A total of 52 cities were evaluated based on indicators such as total output value, fiscal revenue, foreign investment, import-export volume, total retail sales of consumer goods, per capita urban disposable income and per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents.
