The automatic bus-stop announcement system has been installed and debugged on 512 buses of 59 bus lines in Zhangjiagang.

This system now covers all the buses in Zhangjiagang. Based on bus GPS, the system can automatically announce every station in time, effectively relieving the burden on bus drivers and providing good service to passengers. In March 2012, Zhangjiagang Bus Company launched a pilot project installing this system on bus No 6. In January 2013, 18 bus lines implemented automatic announcements. From September 2013, this system has spread to bus lines in countrysides and towns.

This year, the public transportation department will integrate GPS, a bus video monitoring system, electronic bus stop signs, the e-haoyun webpage and mobile phone query system in order to accelerate informatization of public transportation and facilitate citizen travel.
