Spring Festival travel rush ends

The Spring Festival travel rush of 2014 ended on February 24. 480,000 people left from the coach station in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, during the 40-day period.

The travel peak came on January 25 with 19,618 people using the coach station. On average, 422 coaches, 142 tourism coaches and 12 temporary coach lines were provided by the city everyday.

Passengers enjoyed extra services such as special student coaches between home and college. This year, two more cities were added to the popular routes provided specially for those coming from other cities and working in Zhangjiagang. The destinations included Liu’an, Suzhou in Anhui province, Xuzhou, Huai’an, Suqian, Lianyungang and Yancheng.
