Iron and steel logistics income rises

The iron and steel industry has gone low this year, but the logistics business is booming. Revenue of the first 10 months of this year in Jiulong iron and steel logistics park in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, reaches 95.2 billion yuan. Revenue of the whole year is expected to reach more than 100 billion yuan.

Many industrial giants are in Zhangjiagang, such as Shagang Group (one of the world’s top 500) Farun Group, Posco Group of South Korea and Shazhou Electric Power Plant.

Jiulong iron and steel logistics park is a gathering of productive service providers and features in iron and steel processing and delivering.

The park has attracted iron and steel traders in surrounding cities including Shanghai and Hangzhou. It is one of the key projects in the province’s five year plan.

From January to October this year, 210 enterprises have opened up in the park, making the total number 1,100.
