A total of 48 Transformers made out of junk parts from old vehicles went on display at the Zhangjiagang Culture Center of Jiangsu province on September 7, 2013.

In the exhibition hall measuring hundreds of square meters, Bumblebee, one of the lead characters in the movies, is placed in a prominent position. The character is nearly 3 meters tall and weighs more than 1 ton.

The Bumblebee can speak and sing songs.

Other Transformers such as Megatron, Ironhide and Sideswipe are also on display. The creators revised their designs several times and spent 65 days on average for each Transformer.

Yang Sheng from Huizhou of Guangdong province initiated the project. The group is made up of 23 people – employees, shop owners, welders and housewives. They get together in their spare time to make the Transformers.

A parent who came with his kid praised the exhibit’s creativity. He was amazed to see Transformers made using junk.

Other parents said they will bring children to the exhibition not only to relax, but also to learn about innovation and recycling. The exhibition is open from 8:30 am to 5 pm until September 15.
