Officials from the Civilization Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will evaluate the city urban civilization index of Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province.

Leaders of the city checked preparation work and called for participation from all residents.

Secretary of the CPC Zhangjiagang Municipal Committee Yao Linrong said during his visit to Dongdu community that residents are encouraged to help build and manage the community while construction of infrastructure facilities is underway. Community workers and volunteers are responsible for enhancing people’s humanistic quality in innovative ways.

Yao said the east vegetable market in the city should be rebuilt at a high quality. A larger parking lot is also necessary.

Yao also talked to college student volunteers at the coach station of Zhangjiagang. He asked about their work hours and tasks, encouraging them to provide thoughtful service to passengers.
