A plan to recruit interns from college graduates has kicked off in Zhangjiagang of Jiangsu province.

According to the plan, 534 positions from 29 enterprises and other organizations will be filled. The companies are seeking college graduates majoring in mechanics, finance, management, textiles, electronic engineering, foreign language, chemistry, office work and sales. A total of 113 internships have no major requirements.

The internships last for 3-6 months. The government gives every intern 600 yuan ($97.85) a month as a living subsidy and buys them insurance.

The plan is an important way to improve job hunting skills for college graduates and enhance the employment rate. It’s the fifth year the plan is being carried out. Nearly 500 graduates have found jobs with help from the plan.
