Zhangjiagang port authority saves vessel from sinking

A heavily loaded vessel found sinking near the ship lock of Zhangjiagang Port on the afternoon of May 6 has been rescued by the local maritime affairs authority in Zhangjiagang after 59 hours of non-stop work.
The ship finally emerged at about 2 am on May 9. Its cargo, worth nearly 200,000 yuan ($32,525), was successfully saved.
The ship lock on the Shanghai-Zhangjiagang route was opened after the accident.
