A delegation from German industrial giant Bosch visited Wuxi on Sept 4, aiming to build an intelligent network innovation experience center and software center in the eastern Chinese city.

Wuxi Party Secretary Li Xiaomin welcomed the delegation led by Chen Yudong, president of Bosch China.

Li briefed them on Wuxi's efforts to develop internet of things technology in industry. Marking the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Wuxi National Sensor Network Innovation Demonstration Zone, he said the government will give its full support to Bosch's new project.

Chen Yudong briefed Wuxi officials on Bosch's development and plans for China. He said the company was bullish about IoT developments in Wuxi, where it is also known as a leader of pilot applications in the internet of vehicles.

In 2004, Bosch established the Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co in Wuxi, which has become a key base for Bosch to develop the intelligent transportation industry.

Wuxi will host the annual World Internet of Things Expo on Sept 7-10, featuring the latest in exhibitions as well as high-end forums on IoT.
