With less than 10 days to go until the fourth Wuxi International Marathon hits the city streets on March 19, much of the preparation work for the big race has already been completed.
Some 30,000 runners are expected to take part, the same as last year, and so the organizers have prepared 30,000 suits, raincoats and backpacks, 25,000 towels, 300,000 bottles of water, 80,000 snack packs, 60,000 bananas, and 25,000 tubs of yogurt.

The refreshments will appear along the marathon route ensuring that those taking part are taken care off and hydrated during their 42.19-kilometer ordeal.
Runners will be given bright pink bracelets, waistcoats and gloves to wear as they run past some of Wuxi's most beautiful scenic spots, including Turtle Head Park, Lihu Lake, Jiangnan University and the Wuxi Grand Theatre.

Along the route, promotional banners have been hung from street lamps and placed at bus stops. There are also videos playing on public display screens in the metro as well as on bigger screens in commercial complexes and shopping centers.
