Wuxi is one of China’s machinery and equipment manufacturing industry bases. The industry takes up 35.5 percent of Wuxi’s industry revenue.
There are 2,359 enterprises engaging in the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry， some of which have become well-known enterprises, including Shuangliang Group, Far East Holding Group Company, Weifu Group, Juli Heavy Industry, FAD Wuxi Diesel Engine Works, Wuxi Turbine Blade Company, Wuxi Kipor Power and Yinhuan Nuclear Energy. The base has also attracted some Fortune 500 companies to be launched in Wuxi, such as Caterpillar, Cumins, Bosch, Doosan Infracore and Kubota.
