A group of middle school students form Macerata, Italy attended a special class in Jiuqu Primary School, in Taicang, Jiangsu province, on Sept 11.

The special course is named STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). It is designed to integrate cross-discipline knowledge and help students to return to nature and learn with fun.

Taicang forged friendly relationship with Macerata in 2016 and over the past three years, the two cities have made frequent exchanges in tourism, culture, and economy.

During a visit to Taicang on Dec 4, 2018, Romano Carancini, mayor of Macerata, said Macerata and Taicang share much common ground and he looks forward to more cooperation between the two sides.
