The exuberant collection was selected from the winning pieces of the Zhu Qizhan Cup youth art contest and is comprised of the 10 top prize winners and 20 second prize winners.

The Zhu Qizhan Cup was introduced this year by the Liuhe town government. The government intends to hold this event every two years.

Zhu Qizhan was born in Liuhe in 1892 and died in 1996.

His art pieces have been on show in Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing and Hong Kong since the 1950s. Foreign countries such as Singapore, France, the UK and the US have exhibited his works.

In comparison to traditional Chinese paintings, Zhu's paintings are louder in color, more vibrant and show more thoughts in creating layers.
