New Year Celebration in Luzhi

Stroll along the streets of the ancient town of Luzhi, while tasting local delicacies, and enjoying folklore performances. Visitors can also pray for the Spring Festival or even get Chinese New Year gifts.

A winter tour in Zhouzhuang

Visitors can experience the whole process of authentic Spring Festival customs:beating the “spring cattle” on lunar Jan1, welcoming the God of Wealth Day on lunar Jan 5 and celebrating the Lantern Festival on lunar Jan 15

The "spring cattle", a cattle-like symbol made with bamboo and colourful cloth, and it has been an ancient custom to slashing the "cattle" to work on the first day of the Lunar New Year for a good harvest in the coming new year.

visitors can also drink wine specially made for the Spring Festival, watch the art performances, pack the rice cake, and go shopping at the new year market.
