The end of the summer vacation is nearly upon us. But before returning to normal life, make sure you find time to visit Qiandeng, a 2,500-year-old town in Kunshan.
Here are three reasons to visit this beautiful historic town.

Strolling Qiandeng's cobbled streets, you'll feel a sense of tranquility as you listen to the water lapping at the ancient stone bridges and the chanting of monks from the town's many Buddhist temples.
In Yanfu Temple, which was constructed in AD 503 during the Liang Dynastsy of the Southern Dynasties period, you will be astonished by the splendid jade reclining Buddha, the largest one in the world.
Qinfeng Pagoda, a landmark of Qiandeng town, provides the best views of Yanfu Temple and the old town.
Also, don't forget to check out the former residence of Gu Yanwu (1613-1682), a great thinker from the late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), with its stunning gardens.
