On July 30, Bacheng town's first grape festival will kick off at the Bacheng vineyard as part of Kunshan city's rural tourism campaign. Visitors participating in the events on the opening day of the festival will have chance to win family tickets to the Shanghai Disneyland.
The festival's event calendar will include grape appraisals, children's theater, and a scavenger hunt, which will lead participants to coupons for hairy crabs, Heshunji brand snacks and tickets to the Dream of Water park.
The festival will run through September, welcoming visitors to pick and buy grapes at many orchards in Bacheng at discounted prices. Two fixtures of the rural tourism campaign – seasonal food fair and postcard collectors' event – will also take place during the festival.
