The results of the "2014 Amazing China - The Most Attractive Chinese Cities for Foreigners" survey were released on March 9 by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, with Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Qingdao, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Xiamen and Kunming making the list.
For the first time, the administration surveyed the popularity of county-level cities among foreigners, with the results showing Kunshan among the top five popular county-level cities, along with Jiangyin in Wuxi, Changshu in Suzhou, and Yiwu and Shaoxing in Zhejiang province.
Some 200,000 expats living in China participated in the survey through online voting, and the activity involved 30 candidate cities and 15 county-level cities.
