On July 18, the Jiangsu Association of Industrial and Commercial released the list of 2015 Top-100 Jiangsu Private Enterprises. Totally 17 Wuxi corporations were on the list, including the Heilan Group and Hongdou Group which both made the top 10, the Wuxi Daily reported.

The city of Wuxi has the most enterprises on the list，surpassing Suzhou and Nantong, which both have 16 firms on the list. Apart from the retail giant, Springland International Holdings Limited, and the real estate corporation, Wuzhou International Group, all the other Wuxi enterprises engage in manufacturing – reflecting the strong momentum of Wuxi's real economy.

The list shows the rapid growth of Wuxi private enterprises. According to the local government, the industrial investment volume of the city during the first half of 2016 reached 95.4 billion yuan ($15 billion), increasing by 13.2 percent from the same period last year.

Wuxi private enterprises are working hard to strengthen supply-side structural reform. The Heilan Group, for instance, will build intelligent logistics warehouses to improve dispatching ability, while making more efforts to expand foreign markets.

The Far East Holdings Company has also launched its e-commerce platform with experience stores on trial operation. Other local corporations have also set off in the field, including the Sunshine Group and the Chengxing Group.

The 17 enterprises on the list are expected to integrate all kinds of resources to forge their brand competitiveness and promote the economic development of Wuxi, an official said.
