Cultural heritage pavilion opens in Binhu district

A pavilion filled with 25 intangible cultural projects has opened to the public in Binhu district, Wuxi, on Feb 23.

Located in the district's recreation activity center, the pavilion covers an area of 650 square meters with five exhibition areas, featuring important displays from area's past.

Among the displays are local craft works, historic relics of life, recreation and industry from the South Yangzte River Delta. The pavilion also features the use of multimedia, such as pictures, video and audio as well as live performances.

According to local government, the pavilion will serve as an important platform to spread intangible cultural heritage and the long history and customs found in Binhu district, and is expected to strengthen public awareness and preservation.
