Red lanterns herald Chinese New Year

Workers place red lanterns along a road in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Jan 6, 2017. Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival, falls on Jan 28 this year, and the celebrations traditionally run from the evening preceding the first day, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month according to the lunar calendar.
