Cutting-edge technologies to boost tourism in Baotou

The latest information technologies, including virtual reality (VR), have been applied to boost tourism in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner, a banner under the administration of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, reports Baotou Daily.

The banner boasts a tourist service center, which was launched on Oct 19. The center integrates three functional zones and has become one of the largest tourist service center equipped with the latest information technologies in China.

The center features a display platform which allows tourists to have a glimpse into the landscape and tourist attractions of the banner with VR products and 3D projection.

Also, a tourism big data center was set up in the banner to provide real time monitoring of the weather, tourist flow, and ticket sales. It is the first tourism big data center in the autonomous region.
