52 enterprises in the zone have been approved as high-tech enterprises by the region’s science and technology department, accounting for 40 percent of all high-tech enterprises in Inner Mongolia.

The zone has brought in 298 senior experts from the rare earth industries from overseas, accounting for 60 percent of such talent in Inner Mongolia. Among them are 13 engineering experts that have been listed on the “Grassland Talents.”

The development zone contains eight sub-parks, including the Rare Earth Application Park, East Hope Circular Economy Park, High-end Equipment Manufacturing Park and University Science Park. The sub parks focus on the industrial development of new rare earth materials and various industrial applications, such as deep processing for aluminum and copper, high-end equipment manufacturing and modern services.
