The Ninth China (Hunan) Tourism Expo and the First Tourism Equipment Exhibition were held at the Hunan International Convention & Exhibition Center on Oct 19. Covering an area of 30,000 square meters, the event provided a platform for more than 300 exhibiting tourist enterprises.

This year marked the first time that the tourism expo combined the travel equipment exhibition and consisted of many activities, including various tourism promotion meetings, a forum on the RV camping industry, and a tourism investment and financing conference.

Hunan Tourism Association organized 50 experts from more than 40 travel agencies to explore 13 routes with a total length of 20,000 kilometers. They finally arranged 51 tourism poverty alleviation routes encompassing 198 villages.

The new 51 tourism routes will be promoted during the tourism expo along with quality tourist routes in 14 cities and counties around Hunan province. Visitors were also able to get a look at many different types of modern tourism equipment such as low-altitude aircraft, intelligent residence hotels, small fishing yachts and intelligent self-driving guidance systems for scenic spots.

Hunan Tourism Expo has become the largest international professional tourism exhibition in Central China since 2010, making a great contribution to the promotion of exchanges and cooperation within the tourism industry and being a key player in transforming and upgrading the Hunan tourism industry.
