Changsha Bailian Outlets Plaza, a high-end shopping center with over 170 top international and popular brands, started trial operations on Sept 30 in Changsha.

The plaza is located at the junction of Changsha Airport Economic Demonstration Zone’s Renmin Road and the Golden Avenue. Changsha Huanghua International Airport lies to the east and Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone to the south, making reaching it convenient for both visitors and products.

Gan Liu, vice-general manager of Changsha Bailian Outlets Plaza Co, said that it has already signed more than 230 brands and is expected to open fully by the end of the year. The plaza, covering an area of 84,870 square meters, will produce an annual turnover exceeding one billion yuan ($145.3 million).

Gan also said that Changsha Outlets plaza has the advantage of vast brand collections, brand direct selling, and price discounts of 30 to 90 percent. The spacious parking lot, mother-and-child rooms, parent-child toilet services, as well as the fountain square and exotic buildings, will provide a special shopping experience for visitors.

Li Yunxia, a citizen of Huanghua town, Changsha county, came to the plaza on the first day. She was happy with the discounted products and the short 15-minute drive between the plaza and her home.

The opening of Changsha Outlets Shopping Plaza will fill the gap in the high-end service industry around Huanghua International Airport and provide strong support for the building of a new eco-intelligent aviation city. Changsha Airport Economic Demonstration Zone also plans to lay out multiple life service formats around the plaza, such as commercial complexes, star hotels, international schools, modern hospitals, ecological parks and parking lots.
