Li Zijian Art Museum certificated world's largest

Li Zijian Art Museum in Changsha was certificated as the world's largest personal art museum by the World Record Certification Agency (WRCA), on July 16.

Hunan-born painter Li Zijian and his wife Dan Hui invested 220 million yuan ($35.88 million) to build the museum in 2014, and opened it to the public for free on Sept 29, 2016.

Located in Xiangjiang New Area and adjacent to Yanghu Wetland Park, the museum covers an area of 10,000 square meters.

The museum has a Li Zijian Oil Painting Exhibition Hall, Chen Xichuan Sketch Exhibition Hall, Venerable Master Hsing Yun One-stroke Calligraphy Exhibition Hall, and Water Music Hall.

Since opened to the public, the museum has welcomed over 360,000 visitors, hosted nine exhibitions, 25 concerts, and 31 academic and cultural exchange activities.
