Liuyang Firework Museum

Liuyang is called "the home of fireworks and firecrackers" by the State Council. Originating from the Tang Dynasty and thriving in Song Dynasty, Liuyang Fireworks and firecrackers has a history as long as 1, 300 years, now it has 13 major groups with over three thousand varieties of fireworks and firecrackers, which are exported to more than one hundred countries and regions worldwide, accounting for 60% of the international market and 40% of the domestic market. The annual export income reaches 60 million US dollars. For consecutive eleven years, Liuyang has held NO.1 position in its export value worldwide. With an annual sales volume of over two billion yuan, a modern fireworks and firecrackers industrial base with perfect domestic and foreign sales networks has been formed. In Liuyang, there are more than 1,000 mid-sized and large fireworks manufacturers and over 10,000 workshops, with more than 400,000 workers in total.

Liuyang fireworks showed its charm and magnificence to the world on grand celebrations such as those seen in Tian'anmen Square, the Handover Ceremony of Hong Kong & Macao, the World Cup held in France, Expo'99 in Kunming and Zhuhai Aircrafts Exhibition, etc. Liuyang Fireworks attracts thousands of international businessmen from worldwide every year. International Fireworks Association, the sole organization in this field, is headquartered in Liuyang, China. And the largest Fireworks Fair----Liuyang International Fireworks Festival is held every two years in Liuyang, China.
