Governor of Gelderland, the largest province of Holland signed a Friendship Province Agreement with central China’s Hubei Province on April 24, 2006.

It is reported that it is the 53rd pairs of friendship province (city) relations Hubei established since the reform and opening up.

Luo Qingquan, governor of Hubei expressed the warm welcome to Gelderland’s delegation and delivered a brief introduction on Hubei’s social and economic development.

Both governors vows to promote exchanges and cooperation between two sides.

The Friendship Province status is the highest level of formal relationship conferred by a Chinese province.
