In Oct 1990, Kiev established friendship with Wuhan, while signed Agreement on Economical Cooperation and Cultural Exchange of 1991 with Wuhan.
In May 1991, Mayor Delegation of Kiev visited Wuhan to exchange experiences and discuss on cooperation with respect to urban management and construction, and economical reform．Wuhan sent many times the delegations to visit Kiev.
