Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county held its 2014 Education Commendation Conference on Sept 9. The accumulative total prizes for excellent schools, presidents, teachers, education workers and class teachers reached 1.05 million yuan ($171,300), creating a record high.

To encourage teachers and students and establish good examples, Huanjiang Senior High School, which has achieved the best record in the college entrance examination so far in 2014, and another 15 outstanding schools, together with 16 excellent presidents, 200 teachers, 55 advanced education workers and 101 class teachers were commended in the conference.
