Li Wengang, vice mayor
Li Wengang was born in Bobai county, Guangxi region, in December 1967. He began work in July 1991 and joined the Party in March 1997. He got a master’s degree in structural engineering from Guangxi University in January 2004 and is in charge of the local industrial park, industry and information technology commission, traffic and transportation bureau, State-owned assets management commission, light industry association, sugar industry, the Guangxi Hechi Airport Co, maritime affairs, shipping and power supply.
Wei Zulin, vice mayor
Wei Zulin was born in Dahua county, Guangxi region, to an ethnic Zhuang family in October 1964. He began work in July 1986 and got a master’s degree in literature and art from Guangxi Teachers College in July 2005. He is responsible for the local intellectual property office, commerce and investment promotion bureau, supply and marketing, pricing, goods and materials companies and coordinates science, and the petroleum, salt and tobacco sectors.
Huang Deyi, vice mayor
Huang Deyi was born in Du’an county, Guangxi Zhuang region to an ethnic Zhuang family, in October 1964. He began work in July 1984 and joined the Party in July 1992. He has a master’s degree in economic history from Guangxi Normal University and is in charge of the local water conservation and agriculture bureaus, poverty alleviation, relocation of people from reservoir areas, agricultural mechanization, aquatic products, the animal husbandry and veterinarian bureaus, mediation office, agricultural zoning and the meteorology and hydrology departments.
Li Yunsheng was born in Jixian county, near Tianjin in September 1971. He has a master’s degree in hydraulics and river dynamics from Tsinghua University and began work in August 1998. He is a senior engineer in charge of the Environmental Protection Ministry’s water pollution controls and the local environmental protection bureau.
An Zhenhu, vice mayor (temporary)
An Zhenhu was born in Qinyang, Henan province, in December 1963. He has a bachelor’s degree in international finance from Wuhan University and joined the CPC in October 1986 and began work in July 1987. He’s now general manager of the Bank of China’s Henan branch and Party secretary of the local discipline inspection commission, and assists finance and tax work and is in charge of the municipal finance office, local bank supervision, rural credit cooperative, and insurance and securities units.
Lai Jaiye, assistant mayor (temporary)
Lai Jiaye was born in Leye county, Guangxi’ Zhuang region to an ethnic Zhaung family, in December 1964. He has a PhD in botany from Sichuan University and began work in July 1985. He is deputy director of Guangxi University’s forestry college teaching and research, head of the State Forestry Bureau’s fast growing wood lab, and deputy head of Fengshan county government, and assists tourism, forestry, rural agriculture and poverty alleviation work.
Zhang Junfeng, assistant mayor (temporary)
Zhang Junfeng was born in Wuqiang county, Hebei province, in February 1971. He has a master’s degree in rural economy and management from Agricultural University of Hebei. He joined the Party in January 1992 and began work in July 1997, and does research with the National Development and Reform Commission’s rural economic department and assists local development and reform work, major projects and rural agricultural development.
Wu Jiaquan, secretary-general
Wu Jiaquan was born in Luocheng county, Guangxi Zhuang region, to an ethnic Mulao family, in September 1962. He has a master’s degree in Chinese Ethnic Economics from Guilin University of Technology and began work in December 1978 and joined the Party in August 1981. He assists in daily government operations and is in charge of the local national defense mobilization, public sector reforms, supervision, finance and audit bureaus, and the government’s general office.
