Century-old trees in Hebei blossom as spring approaches

Century-old pear trees in Wei county, Hebei province have begun to blossom with the onset of spring. The Wei County, which has China's largest area of century-old pear trees, opened the Twelfth Pear Cultural Tourism Festival on April 8. A total of 133.33 million square meters pear blossoms are open to the tourists from all over.

The Pear Cultural Tourism Festival was held first in 2001 and is now in its twelfth year, with 18 sightseeing areas centered around the theme of “Blossoms and the Culture of Wei county”. Visitors can participate in various tours including cruises, sightseeing buses, biking and self-driving tours.
