During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 7 to 9, Guiyang Confucius Academy in Southwest China's Guizhou province will hold thematic activities to allow citizens experience the folk culture of the traditional festival.
Citizens with ID cards or other valid certificates can join the activities for free and experience various sessions such as making traditional Chinese rice-puddings, perfume satchels, dragon boats, and five-colored ropes.
After completing the session, the participant will receive a stamp, which can be used to exchange for gifts at the service center.
The Confucius Academy also provides courses, games performances, poetry clubs, and art exhibitions concerning studies of ancient Chinese civilization.
Through the Confucius Academy and Qingyan Ancient Town, Huaxi district in Guiyang has recently focused on promoting the integration of culture and tourism to attract tourists to characteristic scenic spots.
