In order to deepen the cooperation of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, as well as Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, a cross-regional political consultative conference was held in Guiyang on Sept 3. Members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) from six cities and prefectures, including Yunnan's Kunming and Honghe, Guangxi's Nanning and Guilin, as well as Guizhou's Guiyang and Qiannan, attended the conference.
With the promotion of the strategy for regional coordinated development, the six cities and prefectures are closely linked together, providing an opportunity for deep cooperation in cross-region tourism, as well as economic and trade exchanges.
It is reported that the six cities and prefectures will take turns to hold the cross-regional political consultative conference once a year, discussing the outstanding problems existing in the coordinated development and the common problems in the construction of the CPPCC. After the conference, the problems and countermeasures will be reported to local Party committees and governments as proposals.
In addition, the six cities and prefectures signed a framework agreement on the integrated development of the cultural and tourism industries. They will jointly develop tourism products for the international market and launch a number of tour routes. Tourism information and data will also be shared and exchanged to promote coordinated development.
