The 3rd Confucian Academy Book Fair (CABF), which will be held from Aug 30 to Sept 1 in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, will focus on poverty alleviation through various activities, such as a book exhibition, a book donation, library construction, and reading promotion in poverty-stricken areas.
The book exhibition on poverty-relief will display over 140 books published in recent years of poverty-relief theories, popular science, and literature.
During the book donation, more than 400,000 books will be donated to poverty-stricken areas by over 20 publishing agencies, including books worth 200,000 yuan ($27,959.29) from Guizhou Publishing Group, and electronic reading cards valued at 100,000 yuan from COL Digital Publishing Group.

The donated books span various categories, such as agricultural technology, industrial information, legal information, social science, and natural science, meeting the needs of different levels of readers.
The activities will further the education among locals in rural areas, improve rural reading infrastructures, and create a better cultural environment to fundamentally facilitate poverty alleviation efforts.
